BIO-

Out of the depths of Music City, USA emerges the next evolutionary step of life on earth that is Born Empty. Their new release, The Odyssey Chaoti-Pop Oddity, produced by Brian Virtue (Jane's Addiction, Deftones, 30 Seconds to Mars, Chevelle), is an unstoppable chaos machine that mercilessly levels all cynicism and anxiety in its path and leaves only positivity and big wide grins in its wake. They have been described as a mixture of The Foo Fighters and The Flaming Lips, with a dash of Incubus and The Mars Volta. Touring relentlessly with a live show that simply must be seen to be believed, these Nashvillians have played over 200 shows in the last 18 months alone, building a loyal fan base in over 30 states along the way. Born Empty's infectious, explosive sound is impossible to resist - or forget.

The Odyssey Chaotipop Oddity

FuturEBird

Welcome! Your invitation's come. No escaping through the back door. You and me we're going through the window. Someone call the police! We need to secure this scene! Ooh, and it seems to me that you wanna believe that it couldn't be much better forever.

Hold on!

Hey! You really want it? Do you get it now? Your future is past. You're waiting for a miracle.

Now this is our time to be here. And as for me and my friends. . .we're gonna make the most of it! Stomping boots and clapping hands, this is a song for all the motivated. Better off downtown with holes in my pockets, than to let me down easy. Change is coming. You follow the way I roll?

Been waiting...still waiting...still waiting...the future is coming.

How come these wings won't take control? Fly me through the next part? Pull me through the next goal? Did you see what you came to see? Is it everything you hoped it would be!    ? Ooh and it seems to me that we weave the seams of our realities. A clever endeavor!

Imagineless holding control as real life slips. And I think I'm going to be sick!

WORK SUCKER YOU

The 1st thing I see in the morning are glowing numbers telling me to stop snoring. hugh! the clock is cursing aloud , but I think it's edited out. cuz all I here is this BEEPING SOUND asleep but half awake and yawning. the sun is rising and a new day's dawning. but it's 8:35 and I’m barely alive as I begin my drive to the daily grind.

Today is just like every other day of the week, but I seek the taste I crave to shake the way I please.

You keep on stepping/  keep on stepping!/ out on the wrong side/ we work our way through the day of the living dead/ with open eyes.
But we'll make it home if we keep hanging on.

Already ready to leave upon arrival, but I've been led to believe that I need this for survival. The only thing I NEED is room to BREATHE / but not until I defeat the work sucker in me.

Today the sickness in the hours makes me week, but I seek a change inside this brainless kind of me.

You keep on stepping/  keep on stepping!/ out on the wrong side/ we work our way through the day of the living dead/ with open eyes.
But we'll make it home if we keep hanging on.

if not today. . . if not today then maybe tomorrow.

you keep on stepping/ keep on stepping! You gotta keep the fire burning!

cuz we're coming home and we will KEEP HANGING ON!

The Truth

Whenever you figure out what it is you’re running around - let me know and we’ll have some fun with it, but don’t expect me to play dumb. Cuz as long as I’m back in town I’m coming to find you, but I’ve found these words don’t speak like actions do. It’s hard to disregard the truth.

We’re all different people/ but One in the same/ so don’t let your fire fade away. We’re different people/ in one accord/ so take the time to be my surprise/ Come alive!

Well, it never hurts to look good twice. You might be surprised! So take a good look at the glue of thoughts we stick our actions to. I know everybody loves somebody, but does anybody really love everybody? Love everybody . . . why?

Now, you see, we’re growing up. The question now is this: Did you learn your lesson or will you choose to forget?

We’re all different people/ but One in the same/ so don’t let your fire fade away. We’re different people/ in one accord/ so take the time to be my surprise/ Come alive!

What’s it Gonna BE?

Your Mumbling something very rarely heard above this discussions roaring pride. It’s care free, scary, and just enough for me to let it be a memory neutralized.

Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow. Tomorrow can worry about itself.

We don’t have to be so serious. you might be leaving tomorrow. that’s why we should throw our defenses away. and we don’t have to be ridiculous. you might not be here tomorrow. that’s why we should live our tomorrow’s today.

All the many moments make one instance of my existence. for goodness’ sake some will say, “The whole is greater than the some of its parts!” can it be the race is won even before it’s begun? I hope this goes somewhere.

For whom of you by worrying can add another hour to your life in the end?

Are the trials building you up or breaking you down? Lately I’ve found . . .

We don’t have to be so serious. you might be leaving tomorrow. that’s why we should throw our defenses away. and we don’t have to be ridiculous. you might not be here tomorrow. that’s why we should live our tomorrow’s today.

Consider life divine today. That’s not gonna change. Some things never change.

So what’s it gonna be? It’s not like you can see what tomorrow will bring.

The Severity of Misunderstanding

Playful bickering, blistering tongues burn like listerine. antihistamine effects defect respect so eject and let it out. I push your buttons to avoid having to pry it out. so if you got something to say please release. by all means, let it out.

And we can clean the surface baby! so everyone can see that the words keep bouncing off the back of your teeth. don't choke on the syllables. your trying to keep breathing.

Oh, I gotta put my best face forward, so it looks like I’ve got everything in my life in order.

Break on through the surface baby! so everyone can see that the words keep bouncing off the back of your teeth. Don't choke on the syllables your trying to keep. breathing!

No reason. No reason to stop. Cause if you stop breathing, your heart stops beating. So don't stop breathing. Don't stop beating.

I think I've figured it out. Some people talk, some shout it out. but I’m feeling better baby. maybe cause I’m breaking out.

And if it's like that get ready to battle through this. I know it's been a while since you've had a friend. And if you like that then baby your going to love this. I'll always tell it like it is.

I'm beginning to understand the severity of misunderstanding. Understand misunderstanding. Don't stop.

I've bit my lip. I've watched it bleed. Now that is it, and this is so lovely.

57 Lullabies

We live in a society
of noise-a-holic ruthless things -
The laughing dead.
But I've been blessed with a way to silence these
quite-a-phobic zombies.

It's all you’re bringing and all I'm taking away.
It's alright . . .

Except for today.
Gather round, hear what I say!
I've had enough of playing your games!
In your ear the melody plays.

This blessing is a curse to me.
I can't ignore the fallacy anymore.
It's a chore. What's it for?
I'm haunting you. You're taunting me.
If I could sleep you'd plague my dreams.

It's all you're bringing and all I'm taking away.
It's alright . . .

except for today.
Gather round, hear what I say!
I've had enough of playing your games!
In your ear the melody plays.

It's all I'm seeing and all I'm thinking.
It's alright . . .NO! It's not right.

Don't listen today!
Close your ears to things that I say.
I've lost control and can't seem to break.
In my mind the melody plays!

Avalon

Make a motion. Peel back the ocean. Find a field that’s ripe for harvest - thirsts for the knowledge that only love reveals. We can plant a seed before we go and dream of all the ways that it may grow.

Holding hands we’ll lead them running across. Take a stand and I’ll meet ya enduring the course. Our own lives we’ll leave along that road.

We are the chosen with hearts wide open. Let’s say goodbye to all that’s past and dream of things that last far beyond our years. For there can be no joy for one of us until there is peace for all of us.

Heaven is waiting.

Holding hands we’ll lead them running. Of course, taking stands can lead to enduring the cross. Our own lives we’ll bleed along that road.

Hardcore Soft

Save your breath for when you have something important to say. words are like steps. and I’d say it's worth looking both ways.

Don't ask me, "how ya doin, man?" My eye color will vary accordingly with the mood I’m in. so read that and relax. Don’t just talk to hear your gums smack.

Save your breath for when you have something important to say. Words are like steps. And I’d say it's worth looking both ways. Cause your next word may be your last one. And your next step can be your first.

I'm learning more of purpose each and every day. - the shoulds, the woulds, the coulds - so I oughta, if I may. With cross words and cross out, we cross dress our christness with shrouds of doubt.

Save your breath for when you have something important to say. Words are like steps. And I’d say it's worth looking both ways. Cause your next word may be your last one. And your next step can be your first.

Don't call me out. I'll just let you down. I'm learning how myself. Don't call me down and out if I choose to save my breath.

One Day Sunday

It’s a song!

I ran the wrong direction. My soul’s in second place.

It’s for my own protection that I’m giving up this race.

So hurry - humbly - and catch up to me.

Everyone’s crying but their whining is useless.

No one ever said that you wanted to hear this,

But everyone around the world will know.

It’s all you’ve needed. That’s why I’m ready to place.

I saw you breathing, so now I’m slowing the pace.

So ring the bell for a blow dealt well.

As far as the eye can tell - the fist makes a firm connection.

Now I’ve been knocked out by my own clout,

But still, I feel no shame.

Cause I’m coming ‘round again.

It’s alright! Ok! Expect it any day.

Cause we’ve gone away, but we’ve come back to play.

It’s alright! Ok! When you hear that sound. . .

It’s your lucky day, cause we’re bringing it back around.

I saw you bleeding, so now I’m showing my face.

The Constant Battle of Soul and Mind

Who will stand the test of time?

You know. We know. And one day, Sunday,

Every one around the world will know.

Goodness Gracious

Stan The Distressed?: "Oh my goodness! I cannot believe I have fallen for the oldest trick in the book. How can someone think that it's funny hooking you up with someone so hideous!?"

Brother Steve: "It'll be alright. Tell me your situation."

STD?: "I don't know man. I can't even explain it to you."

BS: "Where have you been, and who led you there? Can we talk about while we get some fresh air?"

The Voice of Reason:

"Hey, Stan

It ain't too grand.

Turns out the girl your dating,

she's really a man.

Oh my goodness

Look at your face

Goodness Gracious

Put it away"

BS: "So tell me. . . who was this fiend?"

STD?: "I don't think that you wanna know."

BS: "What do you mean? You can talk to me."

STD?: "Well, ok. It was your sister, bro."

BS: "What?! My sister?! $@%#*^!"

STD?: "I didn't mean to cause any harm. I thought it would be a false alarm."

The Voice of Reason

"Hey!

Steve put snot on your sleeve.

But you better watch out,

Cause he's gotta disease.

Oh my goodness

Look at your face

Goodness Gracious

Put it away"

The Answer: "I have the answer to the subtleties of long ago. Mama sang bass, and papa sang tenor. Mama sang BASS! Papa sang TENOWW!"

The Voice of Reason:

"Hey, Pollock!

Your girlfriend Charlotte

When she's standing on the street

They call her Charlotte the harlotte.

Oh my goodness

Look at your face

Goodness Gracious

Put it away"

Bird

The future is now past. Future. Now. Past.
All around the world.

Get on with your life.
